Batman Tunnel Mansion Sells

A six-storey home in Ascot went viral on social media for it’s list of personal indulgences, including Batman tunnel and a hidden ‘bear cave’.

Billed as one of the largest homes in the city with a floorplan of more than 1400sqm, 35 Morgan Street sold before it was scheduled to go to auction in one of the biggest residential deals sealed in Brisbane this year.

The property had been listed for just three weeks with our very own Matt Lancashire before an offer was accepted.

No expense was spared in creating the home, with the secret ‘bear cave’ featuring its own recording studio and a commercial-sized bar.

The hidden downstairs room evokes the 1960s Batman TV show, where a button on Shakespeare’s bust opens the secret entrance to Bat Cave.

The hilltop home also features a 50-metre tunnel with access to a 10-car garage and elevator.

Other features include a self contained two bedroom apartment which has a separate entry, a Gaggenau kitchen with a coffee machine and built-in gas cooktop, an outdoor kitchen and pizza oven, plunge pool and swimming pool, cinema, 726 bottle climate-controlled wine cellar, internal lift to all levels, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three powder rooms and two studies.

The previous owners spent a significant amount tweaking the home since buying it off Brisbane builder Brett Walker in 2017.
